Visually deicate yet conceptually rigorous, these works bear titles like "Severe Trauma," "Mood Swings," "Problems with Cocaine," and "Penis Enlargement." McCalebb's source materials are clippings of advertisements that cater to human fears of inadequacy and reflect a society driven by desire and excess. | ||||

Howard McCalebb is an MFA graduate of Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. His work has been exhibited widely both nationally and internationally. Recent solo exhibitions include Kulturfabrikken in Copenhagen, Denmark and Aljira Museum for Contemporary Art in Newark, NJ.
