Kevin Cooley's series of photographs, entitled Night for Night, examines the notion of duality through large format landscapes of nighttime film production. By photographing on location around television, commercial and feature film sets in Los Angeles and New York City, Cooley explores the tenuous boundary between these highly orchestrated sets and the presumed naturalism of everyday life. The result is a series of photographs that capture the formal beauty of high production values while casting an uncanny light on reality and its creation.
