Lee Boroson's installation subverts the notion of architecture as a device to insulate culture from nature. Using fabric and false floors, Boroson transforms the gallery space into an intimate setting that redirects our gaze back to the space we occupy.

The installation operates as a layer of insulation from the cold white cube surrounding it. A sheer curtain alludes to the transparency of sky or water and takes the form of undulating, reactive walls that immediately contrast with the environment that supports them. The viewers navigation through the gallery becomes consciously affected by the alterations to the space.
