Jude Tallichet's sound/sculpture installation, entitled Two Wings to Go unites architectural models and songs inspired by American gospel music. White architectural forms derived from suburban architecture of the midwestern United States double as speakers, projecting songs which have been composed and altered by Tallichet, combining her own compositions, arrangements, and lyrics. These speaker/models are electronically linked, seemingly singing to each other.

Each song embodies the social function of the building on which its sculpture is modeled. This architecture and the social configurations that produce it are bleakly humorous, boxy paradigms of stunted, self-satisfied pragmatism. It is the music that animates the space and provides the possibility of release and inspiration.

Jude Tallichet has an MA and an MFA from the University of Montana. She is a faculty member at Tyler School of Art, Philadelphia, PA. She has exhibited her work at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, Long Island City, NY.
